The Problem We're Solving
In Kenya and across Africa, young women with disabilities face systemic barriers that limit their access to economic opportunities, social inclusion, and personal dignity. These barriers include:
- Limited Employment Opportunities: Most beauty salons and personal care businesses lack accessible facilities and inclusive hiring practices.
- Lack of Vocational Training: Young women with disabilities often cannot access quality training programs that lead to meaningful employment.
- Social Stigma: Negative stereotypes prevent many from receiving equal treatment in professional and social settings.
- Inaccessible Beauty Services: Traditional beauty parlours are not designed with accessibility in mind, excluding a significant portion of the population.
